We would like to present you the history of our company and its gradual development on national and international markets. Please, read the following text to find out about our objectives, goals and the direction of our development.
Techplast Ltd. was founded in 2002 by Adam Saferna. The production process was initiated by blowing PET preform to steel fire extinguisher. This allowed to note new opportunities of using this material in the production of tanks.
Through the use of European funds it was possible to develop innovative production technology. Equipment and software used in the production process has been designed and developed according to the criteria laid down by Polish specialists and designers. Over the following years, we focussed on developing a new technology for the production of composite containers, which would allow us to reduce the weight of cylinders and assure higher safety and durability. This way, we created containers based on carbon and aramid fibre braids and PET technology.
In 2010, we completed our research and received an official certificate for our 6.8 L container. In 2012 the company received a very prestigious award - DuPont™ Kevlar® Innovation Award 2012, for the most interesting and innovative use of the Kevlar fiber (for creating new-generation pressure containers for lighter and safer storage of gases) . Therefore, worldwide professional journals published many articles about our cylinders. Our cylinders aroused the interest of many companies from different industries and almost all continents.
In 2014, the company was moved from Kęty to Andrychów thereby increasing production capacity.
Innovation of SAFER® cylinder is based of reduce the weight of the cylinder by 65% compared to the steel cylinder. The lightness effect was achieved by using PET liner and high-quality carbon and aramid (Kevlar) fibers. The PET liner characterized a high barrier and does not react with gases, preventing corrosion, so that the gas stored inside the container is clean and completely safe for the user of the cylinder.
Our products meet the requirements of rescue, medical and fire teams, ideally checking in actions. Lightweight SAFER® cylinder allows fast and comfortable movement in hazardous areas, and excellent insulation protect against electric shock. Gases do not heat inside the cylinder because all used materials are non – conductive.
We cooperate with many companies on the european and worldwide market. Currently, our products are sold in : France, Germany, Great Britain, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Denmark, Norway, Slovenia, Austria, Turkey, Israel, Brazil, South Africa and Malaysia.
The objective of our company is further expansion on international markets, which will allow us to popularise composite containers all over the world. We are also seeking to have our share in numerous sectors in which high-pressure containers will bring measurable benefits for both parties.
We also strive to care about the natural environment by eliminating from the production process furnaces, presses or other equipment that may have adverse effects on it. Furthermore, thanks to the low weight of our products, the costs of transport can be lowered, thus, reducing the consumption of non-renewable sources of energy.
We also participate in many programs supporting innovative Polish companies. A few years ago, we commenced the Construction of a Manufacturing Line for New 4th Generation Low- and High-Pressure Composite Containers project, which is financed by the European Union from the European Fund for Regional Development.
